One of the perks to being a photographer is that every job is different and you never know where you may end up. About a year ago we were commissioned to take photos of the Rath Eastlink Community Centre, our new sports and recreational facility here in Truro, Nova Scotia. The complex includes a home ice rink for our Junior A Truro Bear Cats hockey team, state of the art gym facility, multi pool aquatic centre as well as the tallest indoor climbing rock wall east of Montreal!
The shots of the pool, rink and gym were fairly straight forward but in order to get the ideal shots of the rock wall we needed to enlist some help. Rock wall supervisor Christine Cutler arranged to have her whole staff available to assist with what ended up being a blast of a shoot!
My assistant Shannon and I had to climb with our gear up the wall in order to get the angles we were looking for, then perch on a make shift chair you see in the photos below.

We had climbers above an below us all morning so we could get the perfect shot. It was exhilarating to be 46 feet up capturing these men and women defy gravity!
